Micro-structural computational analyses are an important tool to understand material behaviour on a macroscopic scale. In computational homogenisation, the macroscopic constitutive relations are obtained by applying the HillMandel condition to the analyses of Representative Volume Elements (RVEs). Although this method is extremely accurate, it is computationally demanding in terms of CPU-time and memory usage due to the repetitive evaluation of the micro-structural problem. Therefore, computational homogenisation takes great benefit from a Reduced Order Modelling (ROM) approach, which addresses the significant computational costs by enabling fast and accurate evaluation of micro-structural RVEs.
