Personal Development
The Art of Communication
Training overview
Every day, you communicate with a wide range of people: colleagues, customers, project teams, managers, and more. You do it to gather insights, make your case, influence decisions, and collaborate effectively. Most of the time, communication flows easily—but occasionally, challenges arise. How you communicate (or don’t) has a significant impact on your work experience and on client satisfaction. In this training, we’ll help you master the art of communication so that you can make every interaction a positive one—for yourself and for the company.
Target audience
This training is designed for those professionals who want to unlock the full potential of their communication skills to make a greater impact in their careers. If any of the following resonate, this training is exactly what you need to elevate your professional interaction and become a more effective and convincing communicator:
- You find that your key points aren’t always understood or accepted in meetings or one-on-one discussions.
- When you’re confident about your perspective, it can be challenging to remain open to other viewpoints.
- You sometimes find yourself planning your response while listening, causing you to miss critical information and signaling that you may not be fully engaged.
- Providing and accepting feedback feels risky because you want to maintain good relationships. You may avoid it, or you may worry you’ll come across too strongly or react defensively.
- You want a better understanding of your own communication style to enhance your effectiveness and professionalism.
Learning objectives
By the end of this training you will be able to:
- Communicate effectively and confidently with people at all levels in your workplace.
- Leverage your unique communication style, identifying your strengths, growth areas, and blind spots.
- Truly listen to others, allowing you to understand and address issues while building stronger relationships.
- Give and receive constructive feedback in a way that enhances, rather than hinders, working relationships.
Program
Evening 1: Tuesday January 21st: The core of communication
We will interactively explore what aspects of communication always play a role in the impact of your way of communicating. You’ll find ways to make your communication more effective but also more easy. We will experience how active listening can really help you to understand and solve issues with other people, even improving the relation at the same time.
Evening 2: Tuesday February 4th: Feedback without friction
Feedback giving and receiving while keeping the relationship good; is that difficult? No it isn’t! As long as you do it right! Let’s look at what you think about the way you communicate and how you actually come across to others. Yes, you’re going to put feedback – giving & receiving - into practice in this training!
Evening 3: Tuesday February 18th: Refining your personal ‘Art of communication’
Time to finetune your own ‘Art of Communication’ in several practical cases. So time to practice, enjoy and learn from each other!
