Training overview

Do you have leadership ambitions, or are you already in a (project)leadership role? If so, you may be interested in developing a strengths-based, empowering leadership style! This training offers you the tools to create a strengths culture within your team or department, enhancing collaboration and team effectiveness.

Today, more managers and project leaders are eager to leverage their team's best qualities, and for good reason! By learning how to apply strengths on a collective level, you’ll gain a powerful edge in fostering effectiveness and sustainable engagement. This approach is backed by years of scientific research and has evolved beyond traditional HR practices to shape Positive Organizations, now a core focus in positive psychology research.

Through a collaboration between Bright Institute and Felice Manshanden, we offer you a unique opportunity to dive into strengths development in organizations. You'll explore job and team crafting, build a sustainable development culture, and learn methods to measure and communicate your team’s strengths. These skills will help you foster stronger bonds with colleagues and partners and achieve optimal results in your professional goals.

Learning Objectives

Evening 1: Monday November 3rd: Introduction to Strengths-Based development

  • Overview of Positive Psychology and strengths-focused leadership
  • Fundamentals of Positive Organizations
  • Introduction to strengths assessment and job crafting techniques

Evening 2: Monday November 17th: Advanced team crafting and development culture

  • Practical applications of team crafting for organizational impact
  • Reflection and implementation planning: bringing strengths into everyday leadership

Evening 3: Monday December 1st: Ensure an developmental and positive culture

  • Practical applications of team crafting for organizational impact
  • Reflection and implementation planning: bringing strengths into everyday leadership


Preparation

Participants are expected to complete 3 hours of additional reading, assignments, and assessments to ensure a fruitful learning experience.


Your trainer

Felice Manshanden has been working with technicians for about 15 years. With a Philips-father and family in engineering, she feels at home in this sector. With a broad background in social psychology, strategic talent management, talent and organizational development as well as applied philosophy, she masters the art of human movement.

She is driven to move them in the direction of the most potential and therein lies the connection with the field of Positive Psychology. As an independent organizational consultant and strengths developer, she is active within various sectors with advice, coaching & training to let strengths development penetrate into the capillaries of our work ecology.
